Eat a well-balanced diet, and don’t forget to take your prenatal vitamins. You may experience fatigue and lethargy in the course of your pregnancy (1). Not eating right can make you feel tired as you are taking care of one more human inside you. Eat a nutritious diet that provides you with all the energy that you may need during this period.

2. Hydrate At All Times

Drink 8-10 glasses of water every day (2). If you are somebody who always forgets to drink water, you can put a sticky note on the fridge or the kitchen countertop to help you remember. Some people find water pretty bland, and hence they don’t drink it. Here is a trick to add some flavor to your water. Cut some slices of lemon, or berries and put it in a Mason jar for some time. It will give a nice flavor to your water. You can also add a piece of cinnamon stick to your water bottle and keep it in the refrigerator to cool overnight. Also, carry a bottle of water everywhere you go whether it is for shopping, office, or a stroll in the park.

3. Stay Active

Staying active doesn’t mean you have to run for a marathon or go out of your way in doing something. If you were working out before pregnancy, you can continue to do so. No need to stop now that you are pregnant. But try to listen to your body and do everything in moderation (3). You can also be as much involved in the preparations for baby’s arrival like choosing the cradle or shopping for baby stuff.

4. Educate Yourself

Being self-informed may help you in coping with the changes caused by pregnancy in a healthy way. It will give you a better idea of what to expect. And it is also important to not believe anything and everything you read on the internet. You can always seek your doctor’s help if you have any doubts or questions about pregnancy.

5. Love Your Body

是的,我们都有自己的不安全感,哈哈rd to fight them all. But remember that you are giving life to a new person and that in itself is a powerful thing. Your body is going through a lot of changes. This may give rise to rashes, acne, and stretch marks among several other skin conditions (4). Know that it’s a natural journey and treat those stretch marks as warrior stripes.

6. Rest

Your body needs time to rest and rejuvenate itself. It’s important to give your mind and body a rest and stop worrying about everything that can go wrong in your life. Don’t compromise on your sleep. If you are unable to sleep, do something that helps you relax before going to bed. It can be reading a good book, listening to your favorite music or artist, or meditating for a few minutes.

7. Be Positive

Don’t let anything bother you. You might hear a snide remark from your friends or relatives about your pregnancy weight or belly. Or someone might tell you how they had a labor that lasted forever. But know that each person has a different journey when it comes to pregnancy. And their opinions and remarks are a reflection of their own personality. Instead, focus on the positive side of things and try to find happiness every single day.

Of course, there are gonna be days when you break down over nothing. Everyone has their share of bad days. But remember to not let that bring you down. Go with the flow, and don’t hesitate to ask for help from your friends or family if you need anything. They will be more than happy to help you.
