He was an honored religious figure wh hailed from Palestrina and belonged to a prominent lineage of the nobility of Anicia. He was persecuted for being a Christian by the Prefect Antiochus and Emperor Aurelian. It is believed that he was left unharmed by the wild beasts when thrown into their pit before he was martyred.
